Employee Wellness Programs

For RVA skilled trade businesses who desire success by creating a positive work environment, retaining and attracting loyal workers, and increasing productivity to complete projects efficiently and increase revenue.

Build the Foundation: a Healthy Workplace

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in private industry there were an average of 3.3 injuries per 100 employees in 2019.

In sectors with greater manual labor requirements, like residential building construction, plumbing, heating & air, foundation, framing, roofing, dry wall & insulation, and wood/metal/cement manufacturing, these rates are higher.

25% of companies in these trades reported 5-10 or more injuries per 100 workers per year. Additionally, smaller businesses (< 50 employees) sometimes reported higher injury incidence than larger businesses.

And these are only the reported injurieshow many times do team members experience pains that go unreported, and they work through them? Whether you are a small or medium-sized business - implementing the Employee Wellness Program is crucial to begin to build the foundation for a safe and healthy workplace.

Maintain your Employees.

Employee Wellness Programs are key in maintaining long lasting employees. In a Harvard Business Review study conducted on 1,601 workers across North America, “Two-thirds of survey respondents said that a workplace focused on their health and wellbeing would make them more likely to accept a new job or keep the job they have.” By providing such a program, this builds a company culture people want to work for: one that shows trust, respect, and care.

Avoid Job Burnout.

The National Business Group on Health in Washington DC conducted a survey of 2200 employees and found that 58% of employees suffer from job burnout, and 2 in 5 employees want help with burnout and becoming more resilient. Essentially, people want help combatting burnout and maintaining a stable career. In jobs that are physically demanding, individuals need external help to prevent physical burnout and stay strong enough to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time. Stubbs Mobile PT’s Employee Wellness Programs offer pain relief and prevention AND customized strength training to provide career stability and longevity in skilled trades.

Increase your Offerings.

How does this benefit small businesses? As shown before, healthcare benefits provided by an employer are key to potential new employees. I understand that some small businesses or newer businesses cannot always afford to offer typical healthcare benefits. My Employee Wellness Services could be the perfect option to show your staff that you prioritize their health and proactive solutions and are striving to create the best environment for them. These services are much more affordable and positively impact all your employees.

“Throughout the entire process Lauren was very proactive, helpful, and professional in helping us arrive at a program that benefits our employees and brings a great value to our company.”

My goal was to develop and implement a stretch-and-flex program for our employees after having seen the immense benefits a program had at my previous employer. Lauren made a few trips to observe our employees in action and came up with a customized program based on the actions she observed in our workplace. She then made multiple trips to train our employees on how to best complete the stretches and developed a poster for us to place in the workplace for their reference. I highly recommend Lauren and her employee wellness services!
